Anesiva have begun a Phase II clinical trial of Adlea, the company’s long-acting capsaicin product in for the management of acute pain in patients undergoing arthroscopic shoulder surgery involving rotator cuff repair.

Anesiva has launched its Zingo (lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate) powder intradermal injection system for use in reducing the pain associated with peripheral intravenous line placements and blood draws in children three to 18 years of age.

The FDA has accepted Anesiva’s sNDA for Zingo (lidocaine intradermal injection) for the treatment of pain associated with peripheral IV insertions and blood draws in adults. Zingo was approved in 2007 for local analgesia prior to peripheral IV insertions and blood draws in children.
